Had a bit of a budgie vibe going on at the time...
...so this was my first sale on Etsy..huzzah!
Portrait of Polly a lovely yellow, green and turquoisey budgie...Ciao Polly!
A free loose style painting to keep the colours fresh and bright, pencil marks are also visible. Colours are shades of yellows,blues, turquoise and hints of purple...
...I embroidered the painting with french knots and pretty flowers in contrasting zingy orange, and gorgeous clashing reds and pinks also featuring metallic gold thread and black embroidery silks...
...further embellished for extra glittery kitchyness with tiny blue glass beads
Polly also has a wee friend to keep her company in the shape of a tiny china turquoise glazed bird bead...
