Bunny Bits

Well a very Happy New Year to one and all....11 days in but better late than never eh!? And also a big thank you to all the lovely emails and comments over the festivities, does a girls heart good! ;)

So in between the festive madness, disease and work I finally managed to get the needles out...huzzah!...and so without further ado I present......with a flourish.....

.....ChasnDaveRabbittThankyouverymuch....

See Mr. Bun all in amongst the undergrowth there!
As with most of these things I'm never sure which way I'm going with them til I'm off and rocking with the threads. As the saying goes: “Which came first the rabbit or Chas n Dave?" (Well in this instance the rabbit...but that's beside the point!)

To be honest I wasn't going to put any wordery on this one at all, but it just seemed plain wrong without it.

Either way here he is, a watercoloury bun in amongst a positive rainbow of frondery n grassy stuff all hand stitched in a variety of silks n cottons. Random sprinklings of beads and a few wee embroidered bunnies to keep him company too. I haven't counted how many actual "Rabbits", but quite a few

So I hope we all had a good one. My Christmas/New Year, in between working, was mainly spent under a mountain of tissues and the fear that my lungs were going to fall off. However I am now fully recovered all bar an occassional explosive barky cough that makes me sound like a startled walrus...

Here is a pic o my tree...

see that fairy on top?

She's older than me she is...my deccies are the closest thing I have to family heirlooms...there is a smattering of glass ballies, a tinkly bell that still tinkles, various angels, animals and Santas, all of which belonged to my mum, many years before I came along to trash the joint, but I can't part with them n it wouldn't be Christmas without them!

And talking of aging fairies...

I battled on through nightsweats and general rancidness like the trooper I am (hmm), finished the tutu and bolstered by a heady combo of Lemsip, Snowballs and a distinct whiff of Vapour Rub could be found prancing around on Christmas Eve dressed as a punk fairy....voila!

Curiously I have had 3 orders for my handbleached T-shirt since...I see a whole new range being added to the MimiLove line...it's amazing wotcha can do with a Maris Piper n a bottle of Domestos innit!?

(Note to anyone else wanting one, pattern will vary from picture on account of the fact the original spud has now gone off)

So I'm off to muck around with my website...it's time for a change I feel. I'm also starting work on a range of budgie inspred stufferies....watch this space!

Ta ta for now! x;0)
